The mission of SheTravels Adventure Company is to create transformational outdoor, adventure travel experiences for Black women and women of color. My passion for this mission grew from years of both personal and professional experiences. On the personal side it comes from experiences that demonstrate over and over again how powerfully uplifting it can be to spend time surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty - how it can make you feel small in ways that are a relief, how it can ground you in gratitude, how it can literally and figuratively make it easier to breathe. On the professional side it comes from experiences that demonstrate over and over and repeatedly how hard it can be to survive and thrive as a Black woman or woman of color in white spaces.

With SheTravels, my passion is to offer small group travel adventures to Black women and women of color as an opportunity to escape and be fortified by getting to experience the following:

- Awe-inspiring natural beauty: locations with majestic panoramas, serene landscapes, unique natural wonders, or endless ocean views

- A pace that's manageable so we can breathe it all in: we’ll be stopping to admire our surroundings (and take all the selfies)

- Connection to amazing women: we cultivate a welcoming environment that fosters community among SheTravels guests

- Vacation in comfort: stay in modern cabins/homes or hotels where there's a warm bed, indoor plumbing, and good food

This vision has been developing and evolving for years. It’s becoming a reality thanks to my own sister circle - brilliant women I have the privilege of calling “friends.” Women who have cheered me on, shared feedback and ideas, offered expert advice, challenged me to meet my potential, traveled with me, laughed and cried with me, and who are my inspiration every day. I look forward to expanding that circle with the women of SheTravels!
