Canadian Rockies Fall Getaway

from $1,499.00

Bright turquoise waters, jagged mountain peaks, waterfalls, glaciers, and the continental divide combine to make Banff one of the most magical mountain parks in North America. This trip is focused on exploring the diversity of the terrain, and opportunities to be wowed by your surroundings.

Day 1

Pick up at Calgary International Airport. Meet your travel companions as we make the 90 minute drive from Calgary up to Banff, where we’ll settle into our accommodations. We’ll run opening circle activities over dinner, and your SheTravels guide will update you with the latest agenda based on weather forecasts and any other considerations that will impact your safety and enjoyment of your trip.

Day 2

We’ll rise early to eat breakfast, pack our lunches, and drive up to Moraine Lake for a leisurely hike around the turquoise waters. From there we’ll hike up the XX trail which offers amazing views of XX and YY glaciers. We’ll have lunch at the top of the trail, before heading back down and driving back to Banff.

You’ll have the afternoon off to explore the town of Banff, where you can shop and sightsee. After meeting for dinner your evening will be free for continued exploration of Banff, or relaxing in the hot tub at our accommodations.

Day 3

We’ll start early again in order to make our way up to Lake Louise. From there we’ll hike up to Lake Agnes and will stop for refreshments at the Lake Agnes Tea House. For those who want to continue hiking you’ll have the option to make your way around Lake Agnes up to XX [little and big beehive?] before making your way back down to Lake Louise.

For those who chose not to continue the upward climb, we will explore the area around Lake Agnes before heading back down to Lake Louise and taking advantage of the amenities at The Fairmont at Lake Louise.

When we make our way back to Banff we’ll have dinner, then a free evening to explore or relax.

Day 4

This is a day to get pampered while continuing to enjoy the majestic scenery surrounding Banff. We’ll start the day a little later by partaking in formal tea at Banff Fairmont Springs Hotel, where the dining room’s picture windows overlook majestic peaks and valleys of the Canadian Rockies. From there you’ll have the option to spend the afternoon in the spa (spa treatments are an additional cost), or to explore some of the local easy trails around Banff and the XX river.

We’ll rendezvous in time to make our way to the Banff Gondola, which will take us up for some exploration around a mountaintop boardwalk, then dinner among the peaks at Sky Bistro.

Day 5

Our final day of hiking will start early again, and will bring us to the east side of the continental divide, to a more tropical-feeling climate where we’ll hike and explore waterfalls in Johnston Canyon. Those who want to continue the hike past the last waterfall will have an option to head up to the Ink Pots, beautiful…[fill in the blank…].

Those who choose not to continue the hike will have an option to make their way back down Johnston Canyon, and do some leisurely exploration of the surrounding valleys.

In the afternoon there is an option join a horseback riding trip through…[fill in the blank] (this will be an additional cost) before heading back to Banff.

We’ll conduct closing circle activities after our final dinner together.

Day 6

Airport Transport will begin at 7:00am (please do not book your returning flights prior to 11:00am MT).
